The companion to the Blister Card is the PVC Blister. Vacuum formed on a aluminum mold, the blister is the key to fast product loading.
Blisters, like cards can be formed either on a gang run, or on a dedicated run of blisters. Unlike cards, color is not an issue. Therefore it is usually found to be cost efficient to make small to medium runs on a combo run and extremelly large (1MM+) on dedicated runs.
The best performing blisters are made with virgin PVC. Blisters with recycled material can be found for less money, but often have compatability problems with blister cards. (if using recycled blisters, it is recommended to use solvent based adhesives on the cards).
Special care must be taken with blisters that are intended to be auto-loaded. Many machines require the blisters to meet certain specs to guarantee performance.
